Example: Neuroscientist Robin Carhart-Harris's "entropic brain" hypothesis proposes that psychedelics work partly by collapsing this network's normal organization — when he first scanned brains on psilocybin, he expected more activity and found a significant drop-off instead, the opposite of what was predicted going in.
